We had a lot of fun and learned a lot on our David Davis Mansion field trip. We visited six different stations. We made tussy mussies for our loved ones, visited Sarah's garden, played with worms in a compost bin, went in the Davis' mansion to see their kitchen, sitting room, parlor, and dining room. We had a great time learning at each of the stations! A special thank you to all of our chaperons who helped make this day memorable!
We ended up having 10 chicks hatch! We had some fun playing with and holding the chicks! We made chicken hats, wore our chick-it-out shirts, and got to hold a chick! The chicks were able to be in our room for a week for us to observe. We wrote reports on chicks and all the interesting facts that we learned. On April 11th, we received 12 eggs from our 4H program so that we could hatch chicks in our classroom. We have spent the last three weeks learning all about the life cycle of chickens and other fun facts! Today we had our first egg hatch! Soon after that we had another one. Watch the video of our second chick hatching at https://youtu.be/nr-oku3GXik. Stay tuned for more information about how our chicks are doing!
